100% Sauvignon Blanc
Boushey Vineyard, Yakima Valley AVA
Aged 20 months on the lees in cement eggs
Cases produced: 381cs

This single plot of Sauvignon Blanc is from Dick Boushey’s County line road vineyard, which Chris and Dick collaborated on in 2001.  Revisiting old world techniques and combining them with modern winemaking has encouraged us to ferment and age our Sauvignon Blanc “Sur Lie” for 20 months in concrete egg-shaped tanks. This method has resulted in a very complex and delicious wine, unlike any other. We are exceptionally proud of the 2020 vintage, our fourth of Southwest Facing, and hope you enjoy its rich and unique character.

"This beautiful 2020 Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from the Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. Stored for eighteen months in concrete egg tanks, this offers white peach, toasted cashew nut and saline drenched gooseberry notes that all sing in unison. The palate is rich and concentrated with a seamless texture and generous length. Enjoy this beautiful wine over the next seven plus years. Drink 2022-2029"

92 Points - Eric Guido, Vinous

"The 2020 Southwest Facing Sauvignon Blanc is wild, exotic, and tropical in the glass with notes of grapefruit, spiced peach and wild herbs. This is deeply textural, with ultra-ripe fruits offset by zesty citrus and mineral tones. Notes of sour melon counter a soft flourish as this finishes incredibly fresh- unexpectedly so. Hints of sour apple punctuate the experience perfectly. The 2020 walks the line of hedonism yet lands on the side of balance."
