Tasting Notes
Immediately dark and brooding on the nose, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, red and black currants, violets, baking spices, vanilla, and a gravelly undertone. A beautifully dense ruby color in the glass, the palate closely mirrors the nose with the dark fruits playing the leading role and the subtle floral and mineral notes accenting the well-integrated vanilla and spices from 20 months aging in new French Oak. Very well structured with all of the attributes to age gracefully, this is a classic example of Clone 2 Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the premier vineyards on Red Mountain.

Dark ruby at its core, the Cabernet is still primary with a juicy frame and solid dollop of oak that drives the nose with aromas of juicy plum and spiced cherry before nuances of Christmas spice sway from the glass. Full-bodied, the wine unfolds on the palate to show a bold and juicy mouthfeel that glides to a long, lingering finish. You will want to add this to your shopping cart.
