TASTING NOTES
This single plot of Sauvignon Blanc is from Dick Boushey’s County line road vineyard, which Chris and Dick collaborated on in 2001. Revisiting old world techniques and combining them with modern winemaking has encouraged us to ferment and age our Sauvignon Blanc “Sur Lie” for 20 months in concrete egg-shaped tanks. This method has resulted in a very complex and delicious wine, unlike any other. We are exceptionally proud of the 2021 vintage, our fourth of Southwest Facing, and hope you enjoy its rich and unique character.

92 Points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate
"Fermented in concrete eggs, the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Southwest Facing is fresh and bright with a fine crunchy minerality and elegant citrus aromas. Medium-bodied, the wine is lively on the palate, with energetic acidity, a delightful mineral tension, soft leesy texture and a succulent, food-friendly, mineral-laced finish. The wine aged for 20 months on the lees in cement eggs. Give it a try! 4,200 bottles produced." - Anthony Mueller
